I have booked the Travelodge for Sunday the 29th January, are there any plans to stay anywhere on the previous evening (Saturday). I guess this is dependent upon the location and start time on Sunday.

My apologies I shouldn't have gone to the AGM and it was quite hard work on Tuesdays paddle it is now midnight and my helmet got left in Graemes car. As a consequence I will now be struggling to make Wednesdays paddle. I am so sorry I am making an habit of this and I was really looking forward to it. George

On checking today I have noticed it is for improver or better so I have removed myself.

Sorry tied up tonight, it seems I have never been so busy since retiring.

However it's looking windy tomorrow, force 4 to 5, WNW. I don't know if there is an alternative planned in the event we cannot do the Duddon.

Really sorry Sten, I find myself tied up with contractors all this week, I tried to change the dates but they are all busy so its difficult to agree move dates around.

I was really looking forward to this paddle at Walney as I haven't done the North of Walney. I am sure there will be other paddles around Walney and I look forward to them.

Hi Brian, could you please clarify: Please could people consider their suitability for these trips before signing on.

Do you mean to have a basic paddling competency, or for those more advanced to not take places from those of us needing to gain experience in order to develop and advance.

Its a trip I had been considering for some time, sorry I missed the opportunity to book a space, any chance of giving me first shout if any spaces were added or cancelled. Unfortunately I can't seem to login from my smart phone and have to wait until I can login from my PC.

I find that logging in is very temperamental depending on the browser and/or OS system being used. Anybody any thoughts on this.

Just heard on Cumbria radio flood alerts in parts of Cumbria for the next couple of days, the Eden and others. I guess its the snow melting so we may yet be good for reasonable levels.

Hi Brian. Sorry about this I was getting my days mixed up. I have been able to re-schedule things for Thursday. Subject to John S confirming I can loan the large burn. However Sunday may be in the balance. Everything at the moment is in flux.

I really do appreciate you running these sessions for those of us still developing our basic river skills. I learnt a lot from our last outing and as a consequence felt I made reasonable progress and do apologise for the fact I was completely knackered by the time we were hauling out the kayaks. I would have let you know sooner, no power, internet, 4G or landline. Thank god we had an FM radio otherwise we wouldn't have had any idea of what was going on!!
