An update on the Cumbria Canoeists Sea Kayaks at Killington Lake: All the cracked hatch covers have now been replaced and the kayaks hatches are secure. The yellow Aquanaut skeg is now working, the bungee has been tightened. However the red Aquanaut skeg the skeg is not working, the bungee is exhausted. In both cases the bungee will be replaced, possibly next week. The starboard foot peg in the yellow Aquanaut is to be replaced, the adjusting lever is broken, it is still possible to adjust. We are awaiting a replacement. The broken skeg adjuster on an Atlantic has been replaced, and a couple of missing seat support screws are now fitted and secured, no leaks so you can now edge. There is a loose seat pad, unfortunately I didn't have the required adhesive with me so I will have to do this job when I return, in the meantime, if using this kayak, please take some care with the seat pad when entering and exiting the kayak. Please treat the the Cumbria Canoeists equipment as if its your own, we will do our best to ensure the kit is the maintained in a reasonable condition given the usage they endure. I would wish to join you, however I think it unlikely I will be rolling by then. I don't want to take a place of a paddler that is likely to complete the skills required. May I be a reserve in the event there is a place available so I can do a trial run as Nicola suggested in the WhatsApp chat. Kind regards George -

I would confirm that buoyancy aids of assorted sizes are available at the Cumbria Canoeists storage facility. If wet after use please hang on the provided rope, otherwise please return to the tub. -
