  1. That's great Brian, thank you, if it wasn't for sessions like this I don't know how one is likely develop. Its a pity more are not supporting your sessions I believe there are quite a few in the club that are at the early stages. Anything planned for next week? I could make next week apart from Monday and Tuesday. I am hoping to go on the Sea Kayaking on Tuesday and tied up most of Monday otherwise OK. Cheers George

  2. Hi Brian, it would have been great if I could have joined you on the 18th, unfortunately I am working away and cannot make this date however I am good for the following week if you are planning one then. I am keen to develop my river skills having been out with Mike Hayward on beginners events on a number of occasions now and wish to develop further at the level you are offering. I would wish to attend a number of your sessions over the coming months. Unfortunately I am working away quite a bit at the moment and will have to attend those I can otherwise I would be a regular attender, all I can assure you is I will do my best.

Mike suggests I can now attend easy river sessions, I guess you could asses me when I do get to go out with you.

    Regards, George

  3. Hi Mike, sorry about this but I am tied up working away and can't get back for this evening. I was really looking forward to the session tonight. I will move heaven and earth to be at next weeks sea kayak session, I will not be working away so I am certain I will be there. Cheers George

  4. Hi, sorry Mike I alluded last Monday that I may be working away and I find that to be the case. As a consequence I won't be there on Monday. Thanks for your coaching and support in the pool I really do appreciate it, I am certain I will make the following Monday. Regards George

  5. Good day,

Fortunately I have found your website.

I am taking up sea kayaking and are in the process of buying a sea kayak, unfortunately it will be August/September before I am likely to take delivery of the kayak.

I have canoed somewhat in the past and did a couple of courses at Dallam school some years ago, escaping, rolls and some basic techniques, most of which I need to refresh.

I would like to come to your meeting at Kendal Pool on the 21st June to meet you and have a chat as I would like to join your club, if possible maybe try just a basic sitting in a kayak afloat for me to see how I get on.

If that is OK I will bring my swimming gear and I am happy to pay for the session even if any time on the water is limited.

I am 70 and are fit, I cycle, I need to get back on the water, having spent some years sailing on the sea and lakes and are missing the feel of a swell.

I live in Lindale near Grange.

    Thanking you, kind regards,
