  4. A sea kayak trip for improvers and better from Roa Island. Weather dependent. paddle out around Piel island on the start of the incoming stream, then up the channel with the stream as far as Jubilee Bridge. Lunch on the slip by the Ferry Hotel, or in the Ferry Hotel. Then return at 2.00 as the south going stream starts. Trip can end here for some if a shuttle is undertaken. 1.     A circumnavigation of the Isle of Man in 4 days from Laxey on the East coast. ( John Willacy record time 10 hrs 33 mins) We plan for 44 hours Total distance 130km The plan: Ferry from Heysham at midday on Monday 18th September. Stay Monday night at Laxey campsite on the east coast. Start paddle on Tuesday am , aiming to complete by mid afternoon on Friday 22nd. Ferry back to Heysham at 19.45 arrival by Midnight. Initial plan is 2 cars , 6 paddlers. Max would be 3 cars 9 paddlers. Depending on interest. 1. Event coordinator John Speakman 2. Trip Leader. John Speakman 3. Day Leader Will take turns each day. 4.   21. Weather looks good, slight SW breeze. No rain. Carpark free from 6.00pm. Traffic looking ok via Hawkshead hill to Monk Coniston. A circuit of the northern part of Coniston Water From Monk Coniston carpark. 316 978 On the water for 7.00pm. South along the east side of the lake until 8.00pm. Cross to the west side to return past the Blue Bird cafe to the carpark by about 9.00pm. Sunset at 9.15pm Park at Monk Coniston carpark on lake side. Easy access and toilets. 1.   22. A circuit of the northern half of Windermere. From Red Nab National Trust carpark. North along the west side of the lake to explore the river estuaries. Crossing to the east shore to the Boat Museum for lunch break and coffee. Explore the islands by Bowness and the ferry Return along the west side of the lake to Red Nab, about 10km each way. Back at car park by 3.30pm. parking free for NT members, so car share with a member. Park at Red Nab south of Wray Castle, easy lake access no trolleys needed 1. Event co-ordination: John Speakman 2.
