Be COVID Aware. please read LCC regulation on paddling. 1) Canal Paddle Tuesday am 10.30 for 11.00 start. 2 hour out coffee break then 2 hour return. 2) meet at 10.30 at Longlands Hotel Tewitfield. Launch from the Wharf near the hotel by 11.00 3) Sea Kayaks preferred or K1 4) Paddle to Carnforth for coffee and snack. Return by 3.00 to start. 5) No lifts no shuttles. please rsvp by Tues 9.00am

  3. Cancelled, too much sleet and wind. From 2nd December. The rule of 6 will once again apply to meeting outdoors - for recreational paddling with friends and family, and for groups of coaching and leader ratios of 1:5 Park & Play at Killington Bridge Peer Group Paddle. 1) COVID restrictions in place please read club rules. 2) Meeting 11.00am at Killington Bridge for two hours practice. 3) Need at least 0.5 on gauge to be worthwhile. Will confirm 8.00am Friday. 4) Improvers + paddling within our capability. More experienced paddlers welcome. 5) No lift shares required.
  4. Forecast looking good for tomorrow, dry, bright but cold. 9.30 at Waterhead car park by the Lake. Be Covid Aware and read the club GUIDANCE 2) Rothay from Grasmere via Rydal to end on Windermere. Grade2/3 3) Ability; Improver 4) Date Wednesday 4th. Pre Lockdown Autumn Scenic Paddle 5) Meet 9.30 at Waterhead carpark Ambleside. (need to pay!!) 6) No Lifts but shuttle to Grasmere with mitigation/ face masks. 7) Should be enough water but may be a bit scrapey in places, possible overhanging tree problem. 😎 Exit on Windermere at Waterhead. (Rugby club carpark is closed.)
  5. MEET 10.00AM AT THE BRIDGE OVER THE KENT AT BURNESIDE. Depending on water level we will decide on either Staverley to Burneside or Burneside to Scoggs Weir through Kendal. PEER TRIP BE COVID aware. 1) Trip Type: River trip from Staveley or Burneside depending on water levels. Ending at either Burneside or Scoggs Weir depending on the start point. 2) Level of Ability; Improvers. 3) Date 29th October 2020 4) Meet location to be confirmed Wednesday 28th pm. Practice in the available rapids & eddies... 3) Thursday 8th October 4) Meet at the New Killington Bridge. 5) Meet 4pm, on the water 4.30pm till 6pm latest. 6) Park & Play. No lifts 7) We will practice within the limits of our abilities and the level of water. RSVP by Wed 7th midday

    Rugby World Cup 9.00!! Dave, can we start WWRS a bit later?
  14. Suggest 1pm to 3pm short session. Due to darker evening. Will advise location later this evening or tomorrow morning depending on rainfall etc.

Meet 1pm at Killington Road Bridge over Lune All improves and experts welcome. Please RSVP 48 hours in advance. Guests by arrangement with organiser, prior to trip only.

    96 miles, 92 locks and 5 tunnels... Paddling as a relay with 3 teams of 2 or 4 teams of 2. Cancelled event due to lack of team members. Will try again next year.

    Meet with Lorraine from Sports Council Lace initiative to promote the club and new equipment. Now at Killington lake 4.30 ishto test new kayaks.
