Event co-ordinator: Giles Wilson Trip leaders: John Soady & Rob Hitchmough Trip type: Sea Kayak Level of ability: improver or better Date 30/10/2024 Meet location/time: Meet Over-Bridge car park GR: 168 068 9:30 Take a picnic lunch and drink Please read notes re trips here: Or sea trips here: https://lakelandcanoeclub.wordpress.com/trips/ The trip will be led by a BC-qualified or an LCC-approved river leader, however, we will paddle as a team taking joint responsibility for each other’s safety on the water. Please ensure you carry the correct kit for the trip you are attending. Further notes: Leaders will be coaching moving water skills and this is not just a tour. Participants will be expected to join in the skills activities as we progress down the lakes and rivers. Manoeuvres such as: Positive paddling upstream, Ferry gliding, Bow rudder, Edging, Breaking out & Breaking into moving water and Bracing will be coached.
