  8. Weather looking good for tomorrow. carpark or roadside. Will start paddle from the shore by the carpark at 12.30. An afternoon sea kayak trip from the Brown Howe carpark or nearby roadside.     CANCELLED STORM FRANKLIN WINS! Sunday 1.30pm.. Looks like wind will reduce by mid-day Monday. Still possible force 4-5 with gusts to 6. (Rain should have cleared) I suggest a reduced distance paddle up the west side of the lake, hoping for some shelter. Then return along west shore. Meet 11.00 for 11.30 on the water only if you fancy a breezy paddle. Understand if people don't fancy it. Please cancel if you wish. I will rearrange the trip for Monday 14th March.     A sea kayak trip from the Longlands Pub at Tewitfield to the Canal Turn Pub at Carnforth LOOKS WET BUT NOT AS WINDY. BRING WHEELS IF YOU HAVE THEM 100M CARRY to put-in. THE WEATHER FORECAST IS LOOKING POOR FOR TOMORROW. RAIN & SOUTHERLY WINDS 24/30 UNDERSTAND IF PEOPLE WANT TO CANCEL. I WILL GO IN THE MORNING BUT MAY SHORTEN THE TRIP IF CONDITIONS ARE VERY GRIM!   25. CANCELLED DUE TO NEW COVID RULES. MEET 10.00AM AT THE BRIDGE OVER THE KENT AT BURNESIDE. Depending on water level we will decide on either Staverley to Burneside or Burneside to Scoggs Weir through Kendal. PEER TRIP BE COVID aware. 1) Trip Type: River trip from Staveley or Burneside depending on water levels. Ending at either Burneside or Scoggs Weir depending on the start point. 2) Level of Ability; Improvers. 3) Date Wed 6th January 4) Meet location to be confirmed Tuesday 5th JAN pm.
