Venue - dependent on river levels on the Eden - Kirkby Stephen to Great Musgrave, or Great Musgrave to Appleby, or Appleby to Temple Sowerby. 7. Meet location time - 9am start ingress, TBC. 8. Meet to share lifts: time - TBC, location - TBC. 9. Anything else: Helmets must be worn. WhatsApp group will be created to communicate the trip details, decision on the river to be made the night beforehand (latest). It may be cold so dress warm and bring a flask and lunch. If you intend to paddle an open boat, solo or tandem, or river kayak, can you post a message below or confirm on the WhatsApp group. The event is subject to a suitable water level, else it will be cancelled or moved to a different river(TBC) You should have a basic idea of how to read moving water and break in and out and ferry glide.     1. Trip Leader: Richard Simpson & Chris Wood. 2. Event co-ordinator: Graeme Wild 3. Trip type: 4-day kayak camping trip from Oban to Seil & Luing, and return. Friday 14th June, meet on the beach at Oban Harbour, below the slip way form the prom, time tbc. To start paddling late morning, south down the Sound of Kerrera. Saturday 15th June, paddle south towards Seil, pass down the narrow’s between Seil and the mainland, to camp on the southern tip of Luing. Sunday 16th June, paddle north in the Sound of Luing along the west coast of Luing. Will probably camp on the north end of Seil. Monday 17th June, paddle along the west coast of Kerrera then around the northerly point and back to Oban. 4. Level of ability - Intermediate. 5. Date: Friday 14th June to Monday 17th June. 6. Venue: Oban, Seil, Luing. 7. Meet location / time - Oban Harbour, morning, exact time TBC. 8. Meet to share lifts at: It would be good to share lifts. 9. Notes: please do not regard any of the above as being set in stone. This is an outline of ideas/intentions and anything could change according to conditions and needs. That said, we think it is a workable plan that we will enjoy and which will keep us interested. It has the benefit of a variety of options should we need to take them.
