Sadly we don't have leaders available for a Sunday paddle so it's meet on Sunday evening for a bit of a social and hit the Tyne on Monday as planned.
Sunday - meet at Gateshead Travelodge.

Monday; Meet at Derwenthaugh Marina (NZ 203 633), Gateshead. Shuttle to Herd Beach (NZ 370 068) South Shields. Will need to be shuttled and on the water by HW 1013!

I am happy to lead the trip for 5 paddlers and more if I have another leader. However, as we will be a team, we are jointly responsible for one another’s safety on the water.
Please ensure you carry the correct kit for the trip – plenty of food and drink to share.

6. Venue : Brougham Castle, Grid ref 534 291, turn off the westbound A66 we will park on the old road at 536 293 - suggest we meet on the bridge over the river about 100 metres past the old road. We can see the first (small) rapid before we get on.
7. Meet location / time : 10am
8. Meet to share lifts at: No formal lift share planned but please feel free to make your own arrangements
9. Anything else: The weather isn't looking great for Sunday and the river levels are very low - so we plan a fairly short trip, 11km
