  1. 1. Sea trip - Sea kayak needed. This should be a relatively sheltered trip! 2. Saturday 5th November 2016 3. Starting from Hodbarrow Point, catching the flood as far as we can make it up towards Duddon Bridge, and then returning on the ebb. About 15miles, 4 hrs for the round trip. Getting back just before dark! 4. Meeting place 11.45am at Hodbarrow Point, ref. SD181782), to be on the water for 12.30pm. 5. Trip leader: Robin Everingham 6. Any special notes: HW Liverpool 1420, 8.5m. Bring a flask and lunch. Bring a head torch - we'll probably need it to pack away! Friday night update: Forecast is N 5-7. No leisurely paddle! If you want a work out, we'll give it a go. Meet as planned. The N wind will create chop against the incoming tide, but if anyone gets tired we will get blown - even though against the flow - back to the cars!   2. 1. Sea kayak trip – From Jubilee Bridge (Walney), paddling N through Walney Meetings, around the N end to Earnse Point. The first part of the trip is fairly sheltered until we round the N end of Walney Island where some rougher water / overfalls are usually found around Scarth Channel. Around 7miles, 2 ½ hours. 2. Saturday 15th October 2016 3. Meeting on the roadside on Walney Island, next to the slipway, on the N side of Jubilee Bridge at 10.00am. We’ll do a quick shuttle just before getting on the water. 4. Trip leader: Robin Everingham 5. Any special notes: HW is at 1120 (Liverpool), 9.6m. We'll aim to be on the water for 11.00am. Bring a flask and lunch. Friday night update: Winds F 4/5 SE/S. Sea state should be calm as the wind will be off-shore, just a head wind down to Earnse Point. Meet as planned. Click on the RSVP to add you name to the list.
  3. 1. Sea kayak trip – From Jubilee Bridge (Walney), paddling down the channel, past Roa to Piel Island. Stop for lunch and wait for tides to change before returning up the channel to Jubilee Bridge. 2. Saturday 24th September 2016 3. Meeting on the roadside on Walney Island, next to the slipway, on the N side of Jubilee Bridge at 9.30am 5. Trip leader: Robin Everingham 6. Any special notes: LW is at 1210, we'll aim to be on the water for 10.00am. Bring a flask & lunch. Click on the RSVP to add you name to the list. Forecast is S F5-7, Plan B: meet at the Bridge 10.30am. We'll do a shuttle to Roa Island and put on there. Paddle out to Piel if we can, have lunch and then return with a tail wind to Jubilee Bridge.

  24. Bring your own boat to develop rolling or rescue skills - sea kayak, river boat, etc. Please make sure it is well cleaned beforehand! As we will be using the whole pool there will not be any polo skills/net practice on this occasion.
