  1. Not Official LCC Event 09/02/2019 Sat morning At present (08:20) good to go. Still worried about the bridge and Matt is going to drive down and check. Other notes - under 18 by prior arrangement only please email trip leader 5. Check water levels / sort out lifts the night before 6. Trip leader Brain Clough Friday 4th January I am going to change the venue to the Leven and run the upper section ("the race course"). The first two rapids are straight line affairs, followed by a series of playfull ledges and then a more twisty grade 3 rapid close to the take out. The last rapid can be avoided (or given a go) but should not put anybody off coming along
  8. Unortunately I cannot make it - but Mike has agreed to take over
  9. Worrying a bit about water levels, fining a god river but one that is not too much of a handfull. If it rains as forecasted I don't want to lead inexperienced paddlers down high rivers - I 've had a conversation with John S about this. My thoughts Fridy morning go two ways Keeping it conservative - go for the Greta Keswick or Ingleton, prefer Keswick Wonder about something Sedburgh way or a it more off beat I'll keep posting as time goes by and rain does or doesn't fall
  10. Cocker is going to be too low - only the usual suspects Anybody have any preferences from Lune, Leven or Lower Kent
  11. Choices are limited - I would suggest the Lower Kent - but I am open to suggestions Not within the remit of a Four Star Trip and so this is definately peer lead. Meet at 10:00 am at the take out http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?x=350674&y=486402&z=115&sv=350674,486402&st=4&ar=y&mapp=map.srf&searchp=ids.srf&dn=785&ax=350674&ay=486402&lm=0

"Trip Coordinator" Brain Clough All systems GO - meet tomorrow as arranged However it is going to be way out of White Water Leader in Moderate Water Remit - it is a peer lead trip - no official leader Water levels are going to move the day from Moderate to Advanced Water. Have a careful think about your competency and consider - if you do take a swim it could be potentially a very, very long one in a very full and fast moving river, through some very big waves. (Written Friday 7th Dec)
