Trip cancelled due to low water levels. Note that this is a peer-led trip and not an official LCC event. There will be no formal leadership or coaching, just paddlers enjoying the water and looking out for each other. If you are not clear about this, please speak to the Midweek trip co-ordinator, Phil Clayton, on 0785 0202405. How to get involved in Midweek paddling; 1 Let the trip co-ordinator know you are interested, giving your email address and mobile phone number 2 Ensure you have WhatsApp on your phone*! 3 On the morning of the trip, there will be a WhatsApp call to agree which river, and a meeting point. The choice of river will depend upon water levels, and also the skills of those wanting to paddle on that day, but typically it will be a grade 3 River in the North West. 4 Depending upon river levels, additional trips may run on other days of the week; sadly we can’t control when or where the rain falls. These short notice trips are also communicated via WhatsApp. N.B. #1 Grades of difficulty are subjective, and heavily dependant upon water levels and weather conditions on the day; you need to make your own decision on whether to paddle on any given trip N.B.#2 *If you can’t get WhatsApp, (for example because you don’t use a Smartphone), we will try to contact you by text, but please be aware this is not always possible.
