  • 1 club seakayak available for use, with spraydeck, paddle and buoyancy aid, pls contact John Speakman
  • Up to 10 paddlers on water (plus instructors)
  • Be prepared for changing rooms not being available, so please arrive pool-ready
  • £10 each, to cover pool costs

Good day,

Fortunately I have found your website.

I am taking up sea kayaking and are in the process of buying a sea kayak, unfortunately it will be August/September before I am likely to take delivery of the kayak.

I have canoed somewhat in the past and did a couple of courses at Dallam school some years ago, escaping, rolls and some basic techniques, most of which I need to refresh.

I would like to come to your meeting at Kendal Pool on the 21st June to meet you and have a chat as I would like to join your club, if possible maybe try just a basic sitting in a kayak afloat for me to see how I get on.

If that is OK I will bring my swimming gear and I am happy to pay for the session even if any time on the water is limited.

I am 70 and are fit, I cycle, I need to get back on the water, having spent some years sailing on the sea and lakes and are missing the feel of a swell.

I live in Lindale near Grange.

Thanking you, kind regards,

George Waimann
