6. Venue : Brougham Castle, Grid ref 534 291, turn off the westbound A66 we will park on the old road at 536 293 - suggest we meet on the bridge over the river about 100 metres past the old road. We can see the first (small) rapid before we get on.

8. Meet to share lifts at: No formal lift share planned but please feel free to make your own arrangements
9. Anything else:The weather isn't looking great for Sunday and the river levels are very low - so we plan a fairly short trip, 11km
I am happy to co-ordinate the trip. John Speakman will be leading aided and abetted by Andy Murphy. However, as we will be a team, we are jointly responsible for each other’s safety on the water.
Please ensure you carry the correct kit for the trip you are attending.
