Setting up a Whats App group but I ma not to sure of Paul and Maggie's contact numbers
Just a bit wary of publishing contact numbers on the internet
If I knew people last three digits I could probably work it out by looking at the LCC River Paddling group - that is if people do not mind
-
Thanks George - will keep going and we can meet up one day
-
If people wish to paddle rivers towards the top end of the remit ie Grade 2 (3) with the emphasis on Grade 3 then I am sure we can set up another mid week trip.
However - needless to say depends on water levels !!
-
Will set one up next week - probably Thursday. -
Will se what I can sort out for next week
-
Can't make it tonight - if anyone would like my place go ahead
-
Could I go first reserve please
-
An update
There were some extremely inconvenient road works just past Newby Bridge (if coming from Kendal) - long delays. They seemed to switch them on at 09:00
Talking to Anthony he suggested meeting at 09:30. The road works may of course be gone by then, but it would be better to play safe
I can't make it on Saturday but I am sure you will have a good time

Will look at the Sprint
Meeting at ....

Could I be down as second reserve please
-
That is fine Tom - no problem - it was touch and go as to whether I could leave work - perhaps it is better that I give it a miss
-
I put my name down not seeing the comment at the bottom - will forego the trip I understand I may be causing problems by exceeding the six number
-
Sunday Morning 15th March
Cowside Beck
09:00 at junction 36 - however if anyone is coming from the west we could make it later
People from the East or South - I am guessing about an hour later (10:00) at the bottom of the river
-
Could I put my name down as reserve please
-
could be a little later than 4:00pm more like 5:0pm. If a problem will just come and watch.
-
Good stuff - Brilliant
-
If you do go Saturday I would like to come along
-
Trip is on - meet as planned
-
Unortunately I cannot make it - but Mike has agreed to take over
-
Worrying a bit about water levels, fining a god river but one that is not too much of a handfull. If it rains as forecasted I don't want to lead inexperienced paddlers down high rivers - I 've had a conversation with John S about this.
My thoughts Fridy morning go two waysKeeping it conservative - go for the Greta Keswick or Ingleton, prefer Keswick
Wonder about something Sedburgh way or a it more off beatI'll keep posting as time goes by and rain does or doesn't fall
-
Cocker is going to be too low - only the usual suspects
Anybody have any preferences from Lune, Leven or Lower Kent
-
Choices are limited - I would suggest the Lower Kent - but I am open to suggestions
Not within the remit of a Four Star Trip and so this is definately peer lead.
Meet at 10:00 am at the take out
-
If anybody is passing Staveley on the way - we could share cars

Ditto
Grade 2(3) River Trip

I was thinking of trying the Lower Lune from Rigmaden Bridge down to Kirkby Lonsdale
If we were to meet at Devil's Bridge, Kirkby Lonsdale in the carpark on the Kendal side of the river, we could have a chat and take it from there
