Sorry Mike - I was not planning to come along to the Sea Kayak Rolling - so a place should be available
-
John - sorry we can't get hold of you. If you do get this and can make it to the bottom of Hardknott on the Eskdale side. I'll keep monitoring
-
No - problem - just worried Shaw and John haven't seen this
I don't have any contact details for John
-
Sorry - perhaps I should not have been presumptive
Could I change to the Esk
Alternatively we could meet at the "Mazda" garage at Gilpin Bridge and lift share
Would suggest 09:00
-
Ohh - best to double check here tomorrow before setting off
-
The River Brathay looks like there will be water in it
It is a bit of an explore it is a while since I have done it - should be fun
Meet 10:00
Any thought or questions?
-
-

There is absolutely no water at the moment. There is however a Lake.
A possible solution would be to meet at Newby Bridge with Sea Kayaks and paddle up Windermere
Does everybody have a Sea Kayak?
What do we think?

Hi George

At the moment there is very little water around, but the Eden today the 19th January is just on low.
I suspect tomottow it will have dropped to scrape
In the absence of anything else as an alternative I suggest we meet at Lazonby and make the best of a scrapy river
Meet 10:00 am
I am sure we will find some fun things to do

My son who lives with us has contracted COVID and so will be self - isolating for a minimum of 7 days possibly 10 days
Government advice recommended that I take a daily Lateral Flow Test and
"limit close contact with other people outside your household, especially in crowded, enclosed or poorly ventilated spaces"
I have cancelled all arrangements for any future kayaking I had planned.
I would be unfortunate, to say the least, if I where to test positive following a day out kayaking.
With that in mind I am going to cancel next weeks Beginner Trips.
My apologies but I think it is the best course of action
