The room will hold 80 so there is space for friends and relatives. -
untilFollowing on from his informative camp cooking evening for the club earlier in the year, Mike Tracey from Cumbrian Kayaking is hosting a workshop to make your own nylon coated steel wire security cable/leash for your kayak/canoe to fit your roof bars. These are bespoke, but by their nature will be transferable to other roof bars (e.g. for car sharing). He has a range of designs to suit any boat. You would just then need a padlock to secure the cable in place. Because this is a bespoke session, you will need to take your boat, ideally on your car. There are three dates for this workshop, Sunday 12th Nov, Sunday 26th Nov and Sunday 10th Dec (you only need to book onto one of them), The workshop will be held at Mike's showroom and storage facilities at the i centre in Ingleton, the old middle school. Address: i centre, Back Gate, Ingleton, Carnforth LA6 3BT Cost £25 for a standard size cable, £35 if an extra long one is required. Pay on the day.

OK, I'll up the number by 1 - Alistair - we have your kit delivered by Mike -

Forecast not too bad at present, but I’ll bring a tarp in case, if anyone else has one it might be worth putting it in the boat. Food for these things always works out, but might be useful to say what you are planning to bring - I will probably bring a veggie quiche and some fruit. -

Great, I’ll up the number. Sally -
untilClub Social East Greenland - Matt Spenceley An exploration of what it is to live, climb and paddle on the wild coastline of East Greenland. For over 23 years, Matt has spent much of his life in Kulusuk, a small Tunumi village surrounded by fjords, mountains and glaciers. A mountain guide and keen paddler, he’s been taken under the wing of his adopted community, slowly gaining an insight into journeying in time with the ebb and flow of the ice. Note this event will be at Skelsmergh Community Hall. Limited parking so please car share. Bring you own bottle. https://www.skelsmerghcommunityhall.org.uk

untilQuiz night at the Factory Tap Following the success of last year's quiz, we are going to try again. It will have some paddle sport themes, but there should be something for paddlers and no paddling guests alike. Maximum team size of 4. Given the size of the venue, numbers are limited so book a place on the club calendar soon, to avoid disappointment. Please remember to bring your sense of humour.
