For anyone wishing to join the picnic but unable to paddle, it is possible to walk to the picnic site from Red Nab car park on the West side of Windermere or get the ferry from Ambleside.

Please bring some food and drink to share but bring your own plate, mug, cutlery, etc.

The trip will be led by a LCC approved leader, however we will paddle as a team taking joint responsibility for each other’s safety on the water.

Please ensure you carry the correct kit for the trip you are attending.

RSVP at least 2 days before the event. Guests by arrangement with organiser, prior to trip only.

Forecast not too bad at present, but I’ll bring a tarp in case, if anyone else has one it might be worth putting it in the boat.

Food for these things always works out, but might be useful to say what you are planning to bring - I will probably bring a veggie quiche and some fruit.

My wife Jane, who is a club member, will accompany the SUP group in a kayak.

Weather currently looking okay for SUP although the SSW F3-4 later will be hard work. Worth carrying a double bladed paddle in case we need to go into kayak mode. I'll also bring a tow line.
