2.Intermediate: aiming for Grade 3, but might be 2/3 or 3(4) depending on conditions and peoples inclinations

4. Venue to decide nearer the time - dependent on water levels etc. But hoping to paddle the Mint.
5. No lift sharing to get to trip. Running shuttles with mitigation, so please bring your own face covering or organise your own shuttle.
6. Trips may be cancelled or rearranged at short notice depending upon weather, and the preferences of those paddling.
7. To avoid a wasted journey, please ensure the trip coordinator knows you plan to attend, and has your mobile number.

I am very happy to co-ordinate this trip, choose a river, set up put ins and take outs, but I will not be the leader.
It is very likely that there will be other very competent paddlers on trip, many have more experience than myself.
Just to emphasise this is not a "formal LCC trip".
This is a group of mates heading out for a paddle and some fun. If you want to join us you are most welcome.

5. Meet location / time : Canal foot Ulverston
10.30am (to be on the water 11.00am)
The plan is to paddle towards Chapel Island and wait and ride incoming bore, then carry on past Greenodd and up Rusland pool and then back to canal foot
6. Meet to share lifts at: No lift share due to Covid-19.
7. Weather : SO FAR The forecast is sunny with a gentle breeze
8. Anything else : Please bring food and a drink.

Note: this is a peer trip. I'm happy to arrange and co-ordinate, but I will most likely not be the most experienced kayaker on the water. Make sure you are fully self sufficient.

5. Meet location / time : 9am Ulverston Canal foot to leave cars for shuttle
Rough plan. set off 10.00, South end of Coniston 11.30, Spark Bridge 13.30, Greenodd 14.30
It will consist of a leisurely paddle down Coniston stoping for a break before we decend down the river Crake G2/3. Stopping at Spark bridge, then on to Greenodd and catching the ebbing tide to canal foot Ulverston.
This trip is for open canoes but kayaks are welcome.
The trip is dependent on river levels and the weather conditions,
if anyone is not wanting to do the whole trip it is possible to catch up with us on route, but may have to arrange their own shuttle
