9. Anything else: If there’s enough water would like to walk in to run the very lower section of Wallabarrow gorge just above arched bridge but below 2m drop. This is about 10/15 min walk max.
Reliant on rainfall so may be abandoned/swapped to alternative river if no water or the usual suspects.

😃 If the promised rain arrives on Saturday night I plan to visit a lesser paddled river in the Pennines – aiming for the eastern end of Wensleydale. Whilst I’m looking at potentially gd. 2/3 these kind of spate rivers require sharp paddling skills at the grade. Plenty of unknowns, including fallen trees, demand the ability to run long, continuous sections often without inspection. You must be able to hit small eddies and play a strong part within the small team.

White Water (grade 2/3) river trip for improvers and intermediate paddlers. River will be chosen to suit attendees. Sorry WW kayaks only.
Aim of this session is to be a slight step up from the usual improvers trips. Suitable for those who have attended my improvers trips previously, or intermediate paddlers returning to kayaking.

6. Venue: TBC Saturday morning by 8am. Choice of river will depend on attendees.

9. Anything else: If you've not paddled with me before, I'll be in touch on WhatsApp before the trip. If you're not sure this trip is for you, feel free to drop me a message or phone call. Bring a snack and drink, we will be stopping (briefly) during this trip for a break.
