Easy River Trip - place holder

Event details

1. Event co-ordinator - Graeme Wild.

2. Trip Leader leader - Ian McCrerie 

3. Trip type: easy river  

4. Level of ability : Improver or better, river kayak or open canoe, no sea kayaks, not suitable for beginners.

5. Date: Thursday 24th October 

6. Venue - TBC

7. Meet location time - TBC

8. Meet to share lifts: time - TBC, location - TBC

9. Anything else: Helmets must be worn.

The trip leader may contact you if they have not paddled with you before.

WhatsApp group will be created to communicate the trip details, decision on the river to be made the night beforehand (latest).

It may be cold so dress warm and bring a flask and lunch.

If you intend to paddle an open boat, solo or tandem, or river kayak, can you post a message below.

The event is subject to a suitable water level, else it will be cancelled or moved to a different river(TBC)

You should have a basic idea of how to read moving water and break in and out and ferry glide. 

RSVP limit is 6 boats unless another leader joins then it will be reassessed, max. 10. 

I am happy to co-ordinate. However, as we will be a team, we are jointly responsible for each other’s safety on the water.

Please ensure you carry the correct kit for the trip you are attending.

Hi, sorry Graeme as you know I unfortunately have a shoulder injury and its becoming clear that I need to rest it, if it's to recover, expect a couple of months at least. Tried paddling with the injury, not a good idea. I am removing myself in good time to enable others to book.
