Ensure your kayak has been cleaned of dirt inside and out.

Dry session at pool to include

Correct fitting of kayak to person

Sound knowledge including Safety features of kayak  and equipment.

Correct canoeing attire.

Entering and exiting a kayak.

Capsize drill.

Emptying the boat.

Paddling patterns. Square and Z with effective turns. Look where you are going !

Use of forward sweep, use low brace / edge to turn.

It would be ideal if you can bring the kayak and spraydeck that you will be using  on rivers to this meeting and to use wit in the pool session afterwards
