  1. River trip, up to grade 3(4-) trip if there's any water. (4-) indicates short section(s) of rapid that may reach grade 4- depending on the water level. On this trip, inspection and possible portage of any (4-) sections will be encouraged, but you should be confident on grade 3 overall. 1. Event co-ordinator: Neil Gill 2.   2. An opportunity to practice river running skills on a friendly grade 2/3 trip. We'll tailor the trip for the group, so let me know what you want out of the day and we'll make it happen! 1.   4. An opportunity to be led on a grade 2 (3) river trip for our British Canoeing moderate water leader assessment. We will be getting assessed on creating an enjoyable and safe experience for all paddlers in the group. You should be fairly confident paddling at grade two and willing to be led on grade three (always the option to inspect/ portage any rapid). We will tailor the trip to your needs, whether you're looking for an opportunity to practice certain skills, play the river, or simply enjoy a nice river - it should be a fun day.

  6. Dan Wilkinson has kindly offered to join a virtual whiteboard session for aspiring BC whitewater leaders. We'll be sketching out some rapids and various scenarios, and have a chance to pick his brains about positioning, group management and assessing risk. I'll collect your questions / any scenarios you'd like to go over beforehand so we can make sure they're discussed. Login details will be supplied prior to the session.
