6. Venue: Put in BEHIND the Sands centre on the Lower Eden (to Rockcliff, the start of the Solway)

7. Meet location / timings: 9.00 arrive for 9.30 briefing with shuttle arranged to Rockcliff
8. Meet to share lifts: Always good to share lifts to save on fuel & emissions
9. Anything else: River Eden is flat, wide but moving and exposed to wind at times. The Sands Carlisle has a shoot but easily negotiated and the tide influence does not kick in until the egress at Rockcliff. No portages or major rapids.

I am happy to co-ordinate and lead the trip for 5 paddlers and more if I have another leader. However, as we will be a team, we are jointly responsible for one another’s safety on the water.
Please ensure you carry the correct kit for the trip – plenty of food and drink to share.
