Social Paddle Kentmere Village -to Staveley Village
Event details: River trip for Improver/Intermediates - not suitable for absolute beginners
From Memory I cannot recall many eddies and trees are an ever present danger
Not one of our regular rivers, probably not a premier river but a good journey down the valley.
I have done the river when it has been very low and providing you don't mind the odd scrape on a rock it is still interesting.
There is an easily portable Grade 4 section at Scroggs Bridge and the final weir would be optional
Must have your own kit including especially a River Buoyancy Aid and Helmet
E-mail me or leave a message if you are struggling for river kit - I have some spares - could even stretch to a boat and paddle.
1. Grade 2/3 river section
2. Saturday 27th January
3. Meet 10.00 a.m. Car Park by the weir (weir marked on the map). There is not much parking at the top but we can work out the shuttle

4. Other notes - under 18 by prior arrangement only please email trip leader
5. Check water levels / sort out lifts the night before
6. Trip leader Brain Clough
Friday Night - 26/01/2018
From what I can tell it is going to rain but quite early in the morning - suggest we meet as above at 10:30 and review the situation.
There is limited parking at the top - we need to take the minimum of cars up the valley.
Will check rain again tomorrow at 8:30
