Xmas Easy river trip

3. Trip type: Easy river( may be easy rapids up to grade 2)

4. Level of ability : Improver or better, kayak or canoe You should have basic idea out how to read moving water and break in and out and be able to cope with wave trains.

5. Date: Friday 22nd December

6. Venue : Border Esk, Canonbie to Longtown 

7. Meet location / time : 9.30 at Longtown or stare lift from Junction 37

8. Meet to share lifts at: 8.30 Junction 37 of M6 west side of junction.

9. Anything else: 

We will meet at egress and then shuttle to ingress. If you are going directly to meet place  rather than junction 37 please let me know beforehand.

Trip is 10km should take 3.5 hours, including lunch break. It will be very cold so dress warm and bring a flask.

if you intend to paddle an open boat solo or tandem can you post message below. No sea kayaks

Event subject to a suitable water level.

I am happy to co-ordinate and lead the trip. However, as we will be a team, we are jointly responsible for each other’s safety on the water.

Please ensure you carry the correct kit for the trip you are attending.
