Arnside Bore

Arnside Bore wave: This trip will only run if we have a good wave on Friday. I will post an update here by 18:00 on Friday to confirm or cancel depending on the quality of the wave.

This trip is confirmed, today, Friday, we paddled out almost to Silverdale and managed to get a ride for about 20 minutes heading towards Grange, then the wave dissipated. We chased the tide for another 20 minutes and a couple of us managed to get a very brief surf just before the take out. The plan is to get even further out, for a longer ride but not bother chasing the tide once the wave disappears.

9. Anything else:  It’s tricky for first timers as a very powerful wave over shallow water, therefore it’s easy to get tripped up 

Tide height is 9.55 (Ramsden Dock )so there should  be a good bore wave???

HW is at 13.48 Barrow so aim to be on the water at Arnside at 10:20

Should be back in Arnside by 12.40

River or sea kayaks. 

If intending to ride borewave must have a solid first time roll.

You can join us and just follow the bore wave if you don't wish to surf on it
