3. Trip type: sea expedition (kayak camping). Island hopping and exploring the rocky west coast, involving moderate distances of around 15-20km, with opportunities for refuelling on coffee and cake at coastal villages and marinas en-route.
4. Level of ability: Improver / Intermediate.
5. Date: travel out from UK Sat 3rd September (depending on flights) for a week’s paddling.
7. Travel: to be agreed - direct flights available from Manchester to Oslo or Copenhagen, from where a bus can take us to Grebbestad (bus options here - https://www.nautopp.com/find-us-nautopp-seakayaking). The bus stops close to the kayak centre. Oslo appears to offer the best flight / bus option.
8. Equipment: previously I have flown with personal paddling and camping kit and just hired a kayak, but paddling and camping kit can also be hired if preferred. Self-guided hire options here - https://www.nautopp.com/kayak-rental-day-multiday-bohuslan.
9. Provisioning: there is a supermarket adjacent to the kayak centre, so no need to travel out with food supplies. Gas can be bought at the centre.
10. Finalising arrangements: I’ll arrange a pub / online get-together for everyone interested to discuss travel and trip duration preferences.
