  8. Hi all, Ullswater yacht club, where we train in the summer, have said they are happy for us to have a tournament on a Saturday, while they are sailing. We did this once before which worked OK, but we'll have to have the pitch in a slightly more exposed place than between the jetties where we usually have it. We thought we'd give it a try with a cumbria / fairly local competition to start and try and get it in before the weather/water gets too cold. That means fairly short notice. We are looking at Saturday 9th October as preferred date or possibly 16th October. If you can commit and get organised for a weekend before that let me know asap. We can run as club teams or just bring players and we'll make up teams on the day. We're happy to mix our players in to make up teams. Aiming at div 4 / 3 level ie give youngsters / beginners some tournament experience, but mix a few more experienced players in. We'll have 1 pitch, so as many games as possible in time available. Probably start games 10am. Finish whenever we like!! Yacht club will have food available to buy in the club house, which is usually good, and bar available for spectators / evening. They have a large fixed barbeque if you want to bring stuff and use it. Cost will be £50 per team. If you want to make a weekend of it, camping is available on site (will have to find out costs/details) or at Cross Dormont campsite over the road. Please let me know asap if that date works for you, then how many teams you'll bring. Looking forward to playing some polo again. Tim Mather
