POSTPONED - Easy River Group - Refresher session II for open boaters

Unfortunately we will have to postpone this event until we have a little more water!

It also seemed to be a difficult time for many so a rearrangement will hopefully give others a chance of coming along.

Open boats only for this session, and don’t forget your helmet.

This session is a refresher for those who are very rusty in an open boat or those with little or no experience on moving water. (You should be comfortable in an open boat on flat water). 

The session will cover

         Kit review

         Basic boat set up and safety

         Paddling technique on moving water

         Moving water hazards

         Paddling in a group

         What to do in the event of a capsize (your’s or someone else’s)

         Anything else you want to know!

Bring snacks and a hot drink etc.
