  16. 19.00 LCC Film night video competition. Martin Powell LCC members share their creative inclinations Following from our previous successful photographic for 2021 we are going for something slightly different. Have you a few pictures that tell a paddling story, or maybe you can make your trip photos into a slideshow? Have a video clip that might tell a tale or edit a few clips together. There are two classes of Video in the competition. Short Film (maximum length 5 minutes) Video Clips ( from 15s up to an absolute maximum of 2 min) You can submit any format of Video, but try to keep to the commonly used formats (MP4, Quicktime or AVCHD). We cannot guarantee being able to play your clip, if you stray from these formats. You can submit one short film, per person and up to three video clips. Entries should be sent to mjpowell@f2s.com, using the online facility Transferxl (www.transferxl.com). It is straight forward and allows large files to be sent and received. Entries should be submitted between October 25th and November 5th 2021, only. Not before. Selected entries will be played and judged at a special LCC Meeting on November 24th, at the Kendal Rugby Club. LCC members free, Guest welcome, suggested donation £5. Anything else: Both will require early morning meet at river 0830 or stay nearby the previous night TBC. Possibilities all dependent upon river levels: a) River Ayr 2 days with camping on river bank.( near road). Possible to take kit in canoes / kayaks or do a shuttle. River is grade 2 with a couple of portages around weirs. b) River Teviot 2 days with camping on river bank. Take kit in canoes / kayaks. River is grade 2.   21. 1500 Mint to Kent confluence is scrape in places. Kent is low, just passable. Event confirmed if you choose not to attend please remove RSVP. Otherwise see you at rugby club at 1600 or before. Some overnight rain , at 0900 Kent is low but paddleable. No more rain forecast. if water stays similar we are good to go. Will update again at 15.00. Club Lead trip 1.
