7. Meet location/ timings:
Meet at 10.45 to be on the water at 11.30. HW Ravenglass 13.10
Meet on the beach at end of Main Street Ravenglass (SD 084 964) to off load kayaks etc.. to then park in car park in village.
Plan is to paddle on the flood as far as we can get up the Esk, have some lunch and paddle back with the Ebb to Ravenglass.
back at Ravenglass at around 3 - 3.30pm
8. Meet to share lifts: Always good to share lifts to save on fuel & emissions. Check the WhatsApp group nearer the time.
9. Anything else: Please bring lunch and a warm drink.

5. Date: Saturday 13th April 2024
6. Venue: Glencoyne,
Ullswater
7. Meet location/ timings:
Meet at 10.00, to be on the water for 10.30.
Meet in National Trust car park at Glencoyne. Grid Ref: 387 189
Plan is to have a ‘dry’ morning - concentrating on contact towing and towing. Emphasis as much on what it is like to be towed and how you can help the person rescuing.
Break for lunch.
Afternoon to practice a deepwater rescue, emphasis again on being rescued as much as rescuing.
I am a small not so strong female paddler so will give techniques that help to make it easier for similar paddlers.
Off the water as people get cold approx 2-3pm

Sea kayak trail: Tayinloan to Oban or part of. 23-28th May +/- a day either side to get best weather/ travel.
There are strong tides in the area, length of paddling days and start and finish times will be dictated by the tides and winds.
Trip will run but change venue if weather not suitable.

4. Level of ability: Intermediate or better.
5. Date: 23rd to 28th May 2023
6. Venue: Objective is to kayak from Tayinloan to Oban. This is the first section of the “sea kayak trail.”
This maybe cut short if weather inclement also if poor forecast will choose to paddle at a different location so that a trip will go ahead.
7. Meet location/time: 09.00 Tuesday 23rd. TBC nearer the time, as may set up a car shuttle.
8. Travel: 5+ hours from Kendal
9. Sea kayaks only.
