  2. BE COVID AWARE CLUB OFFICIAL TRIP $$$ Change to meeting Carpark. Now meeting at 9.00 am at carpark by the new bridge to Pooley Bridge. Access problem reported at the other carpark. 1) Event co-ordinator John Speakman 2) Trip Leader John Speakman 3) Sea Kayak 4) Level of ability: improver or better. 5) Date: Wednesday 23rd June 6) Start at Pooley Bridge carpark 7) Meet 9.00am for 9.30 start 😎 This is a social paddle. We will stop for lunch at south end of lake. Bring food and drink to last the day Clothing and hats as appropriate to the weather conditions. Please read notes re trips on club website, carry the correct kit for this type of trip.

  6. CANCELLED DUE TO NEW COVID RULES. MEET 10.00AM AT THE BRIDGE OVER THE KENT AT BURNESIDE. Depending on water level we will decide on either Staverley to Burneside or Burneside to Scoggs Weir through Kendal. PEER TRIP BE COVID aware. 1) Trip Type: River trip from Staveley or Burneside depending on water levels. Ending at either Burneside or Scoggs Weir depending on the start point. 2) Level of Ability; Improvers. 3) Date Wed 6th January 4) Meet location to be confirmed Tuesday 5th JAN pm. Be COVID Aware. please read LCC regulation on paddling. 1) Canal Paddle Tuesday am 10.30 for 11.00 start. 2 hour out coffee break then 2 hour return. 2) meet at 10.30 at Longlands Hotel Tewitfield. Launch from the Wharf near the hotel by 11.00 3) Sea Kayaks preferred or K1 4) Paddle to Carnforth for coffee and snack. Return by 3.00 to start. 5) No lifts no shuttles. please rsvp by Tues 9.00am

  10. Cancelled, too much sleet and wind. From 2nd December. The rule of 6 will once again apply to meeting outdoors - for recreational paddling with friends and family, and for groups of coaching and leader ratios of 1:5 Park & Play at Killington Bridge Peer Group Paddle. 1) COVID restrictions in place please read club rules. 2) Meeting 11.00am at Killington Bridge for two hours practice. 3) Need at least 0.5 on gauge to be worthwhile. Will confirm 8.00am Friday. 4) Improvers + paddling within our capability. More experienced paddlers welcome. 5) No lift shares required.

Be Covid Aware and read the club GUIDANCE 2) Rothay from Grasmere via Rydal to end on Windermere. Grade2/3 3) Ability; Improver 4) Date Wednesday 4th. Pre Lockdown Autumn Scenic Paddle 5) Meet 9.30 at Waterhead carpark Ambleside. (need to pay!!) 6) No Lifts but shuttle to Grasmere with mitigation/ face masks. 7) Should be enough water but may be a bit scrapey in places, possible overhanging tree problem. 😎 Exit on Windermere at Waterhead. (Rugby club carpark is closed.)

I will rearrange for when the forecast is better. 1) Coniston Water 2) Improvers+ MAX 6 3) Saturday 31st October 6.30pm meet 7.00pm on the water 4) Meet Browne Howe Car Park or roadside by gate to the Lake. 5) Night Paddle. Full Moon if cloud cover allows. Or head torch 6) One hour outward paddle and one hour return by 9.00pm 7) Bring HOT drinks and snack. HALLOWEEN MASKS RECOMMENDED 😎 Club Sea Kayak available to hire. If conditions unfavourable event will be cancelled. This is meant to be Fun.

    Apologies I’m having to withdraw from my own event. I suggest a team decision on route around the lake. I think John G is a regular paddler on Derwent Water.

    1) Evening Trip around Derwent Water. PEER TRIP. COVID AWARE.. 2) Beginner/Improvers 6 MAX. 3) Tuesday 7th July meet 18.00/18.30. on water by 19.00 4) Meeting at Kettlewell Nation Trust Carpark 5) Trip around the lake, stopping for refreshment. 6) 10k trip, comfortable 2 hour paddle, ending back at the start point. 7) Gear appropriate to conditions on the day. Forecast 17 degrees , light breeze. 😎 Club sea kayak available to borrow, can deliver to the start.

    The plan for this group is to meet at the new carpark detailed above. The carpark is now quite large, FREE and with good access to the Lake. I suggest that we head around the Lake Clockwise from the start of the River Eamont. Toms group is now meeting at the NT carpark at Glencoyne. PLACES STILL AVAILABLE to join this group.
