Stuart Mair and meself are going down to Walney on Saturday morning to do a session of sea kayak rescue practice. Mad, I hear you say - you may be right.……We will meet at Earnse Point, Walney at 09.00.
If anyone would like to join us please sign up to register interest. The more the merrier methinks!
I will update on Friday evening
The weather isn’t brilliant but will suit our purpose well. According to the gods there will be a stiff onshore breeze for most of the day with ‘feel like’ temperatures in the region of 11/12°.
How’s about breakfast at McDonald’s 08.00 to discuss plans for the day? Hopefully see you there. Otherwise meet at Earnse Point car park at 09.00
ps A trolley might not go amiss.
Tides look good but am watching the wind!
If anyone is interested in a 'peer paddle' around the island, weather permitting, please sign up to register interest.
Plan to meet at Earnse Point, getting on the water for about 11.00
Event cancelled - no interest
Wondered if anyone fancied a (peer) paddle? Sea kayaks only. Thought we could meet at Roa Island slipway at say 10am for a bimble around the South End, St Helena, the Falklands etc. There should be plenty of seals?! A visit to Peil Island might also be on the cards. Any takers?
Okay guys, looks as if we can make this happen.
See you at the Roa Island slip at 10 am
Hi Robin
Don’t really fancy a paddle round Windermere in the pouring rain so I’m going to stand down on this one seeing as the Lakequest requirement is no longer there.
A weekend in the Seahouses/Bamburgh area of Northumberland. One of the days will be spent paddling out to the Farne Islands and exploring that wonderful environment, and the other doing a coastal journey, yet to be decided. Needless to say, the weather will be either friend or foe, so let’s hope for a beautiful summer weekend!
Campsite has yet to be finalised - if anyone has any preferences then please let me know.
The number of paddlers is limited to 6 at present but this may be increased dependant on skill level and experience of those attending.
This is a peer paddle and anyone attending should be capable of looking after both themselves and other members of the group if required
