Solway Coast Beach/Bank Cleans. Covid-19: We work 2+ metres apart.
The Coronavirus Act 2020, Amendment 4 of 14/9/20 allows work & voluntary service anywhere & by any number of people. Our work cannot be carried out at home, is entirely outdoors & avoids public transport.
Past events: from August 2017 to mid-November 2020 we have held 180 beach cleans & collected 3755 bags of rubbish + tyres, fish crates, heavy rope etc. Allerdale Borough Council's contractors Tivoli took these to the Hespin Wood Mechanical Biological Treatment Plant which claims to recycle 80% of North Cumbria's waste.
