2. Starting from Saltburn-by-the-Sea, paddle south to Runswick Bay. About 11 miles, 5 hrs. Probably stop for lunch at Skinningrove after the first headland and later at Staithes maybe for an Ice-cream.
3. Meet at Kendal Leisure Centre at 6.50am. It’s about a 2 hr drive to Saltburn,maybe 1 hour for a shuttle to Runswick Bay. Aim to be on the water for 11am.

5. Any special notes: HW R Tees 1310 (Neaps). Bring a flask, lunch, money for ice cream and wheels if you have them. Friday night update: Forecast for Saturday looks like Northerly F4-5, with current wave height 3.5-6' (swell from the North East), so this will probably be bigger still tomorrow. Plan B: West is best. New plan, N Solway coast (nr Dalbeattie). Start at Sandyhills Bay at 12.30, ebb for 3hrs (LW 15.30) playing in the rocks, then return to Sandyhills. Swell is light, wind NW 2-3 (sheltered). Meet Kendal Leisure 9.30am or at Sandyhills 1200 noon.
