This trip is in collaboration with Cumbria Wildlife Trust. The citizen science part is that we have been asked if we could assist CWT with a seagrass research project by placing some underwater cameras in a seagrass bed within Roosecote Sands (located adjacent to the docks), and taking some water samples for DNA analysis. This task should take just an hour or two. We would then paddle over to Peil Island for lunch, and beyond, subject to time and tide. CWT have offered to share their findings and any interesting video obtained.
