Easy river trip 4

4. Level of ability : Improver or better, kayak or canoe

5. Date: Thursday 26th January 

6. Venue : Border Esk, Canonbie to Longtown 

7. Meet location / time : tbc

8. Meet to share lifts at: 9.00 Junction 37 of M6 west side of junction.

We will meet at egress and then shuttle to ingress. If you are going directly to meet place  rather than junction 37 please let me know beforehand.

Trip is 10km should take 3.5 hours, including lunch break. It will be very cold so dress warm and bring a flask.

if you intend to paddle an open boat solo or tandem can you post message below.

Event subject to a suitable water level, else it will cancelled or slide by a day or two. 

You should have basic idea out how to read moving water and break in and out.

RSVP limit is 6 people. Or 10 if a second leader joins. If you are intending to paddle a canoe or tandem canoe can you add note to trip so I am aware. Ta.

I am happy to co-ordinate and lead the trip. However, as we will be a team, we are jointly responsible for each other’s safety on the water.

Please ensure you carry the correct kit for the trip you are attending.

RSVP at least 2 days before the event

Guests by arrangement with organiser, prior to trip only.
