It's intended this will be a fun sociable event for all paddling abilities - an opportunity to paddle with & meet other club members we might not ordinarily be paddling with. For anyone wishing to join the picnic but unable to paddle, it is possible to walk to the picnic site from Red Nab car park on the West side of Windermere or get the ferry from Ambleside.

Please bring some food and drink to share but bring you own plate, mug, cutlery, etc.

Please read notes re trips here:

I am happy to co-ordinate and lead the trip. However, as we will be a team, we are jointly responsible for each other’s safety on the water.

Please ensure you carry the correct kit for the trip you are attending.

Would be useful to know what food people are thinking of bringing to share so we don’t all bring the same.

I’m thinking along the lines of a vegetable quiche, cake or buns and a melon.
