A paddle anticlockwise around the island. Starting and Finishing at Roa Island.
There is the option to meet the trip at Jubilee Bridge around 09:45 and paddle around the North End to Finish at Earnse Bay. To do this you would need to arrange a shuttle. If you would like to do this contact me directly in advance. (07835 448621)
8. Meet to arrange shuttle: Non Required unless you want to take the shorter option listed.
9. Anything else:
The aim is to have a nice leisurely and sociable paddle with a stop at North End Hawes, Biggar Bank and possibly South End Groyne. Bring a flask or stove and water plus lunch and snacks along with calm weather and sunshine.
This trip is 30km long with tidal assistance for the majority of the way but we will be paddling against the last of the ebb around the South End of the island. Depending on the wind speed and direction there may be some slight over falls in Scarth Channel as we round North End Hawes
The weather forecast is largely overcast with temperatures around 18 degrees C the wind is Force 2 from the south going to the west later in the day.
If the weather becomes less favourable I may modify the plan one possibility would be an out and back staying within Walney Chanel.
Tide height is 8.20m.
HW Barrow is at 09:47 so aim to be on the water by 08:45 latest
