Trip confirmed as going ahead.

Wind forecast force 3 from north with some gusts up to 5.

 

 Arnside bore

5. Date: Saturday 5th March

6. Venue : Arnside

7. Meet location / time : at Arnside promenade at  09.00

8. Meet to share lifts at: none needed

9. Anything else:  

Tide height is 9.80 so there might  be good bore wave.

HW is at 13.03 so aim to be on the water at Arnside at 09.30

Should be back in Arnside by 12.00

If weather forecast is looking calmish,will add to RSVP 3 days prior to trip.

River or sea kayaks. 

If intending to ride bore wave must have a solid first time roll.

You can join us and just follow the bore wave if you don't wish to surf on it 

Not suitable for novices.

I am happy to co-ordinate and lead the trip. However, as we will be a team, we are jointly responsible for each other’s safety on the water.

Please ensure you carry the correct kit for the trip you are attending.

hi is there any consensus on sea or river kayak? or will there be a mix? Wouldnt want to be in sea boat with everyone else in river....and vice versa

Chris, river kayaks better for tricks,but harder to catch wave if you lose it,or it reforms. Don't worry about what others are doing, I will be taking river kayak this time. Mike

thanks mike didnt want to be holding everyone up in a river kayak and vice versa, see you in the morning
