Not meeting on Promenade as usual as parking likely to be full, so use car park by railway viaduct

9. Anything else:

High Water is at 21.49 and height 8.30m so aim to paddle from Morecambe low water  at 16.18. Aim to follow filling river channel on incoming tide.

Sea kayaks only. This is an exposed open crossing. So come prepared. Highly weather dependent. Wind looking good.

18km to Arnside all tide assisted. Paddle should be 2-3 hours.

Bring wheels as we will need to cross sands at Morecambe to reach the channel.

No bore wave expected

Please read notes re trips here:

I am happy to co-ordinate and lead the trip. However, as we will be a team, we are jointly responsible for each other’s safety on the water.

Please ensure you carry the correct kit for the trip you are attending.

RSVP at least 2 days before the event
