    If you're signed up for the trip you should hopefully have seen the trip WhatsApp. Sadly we don't have leaders available for a Sunday paddle so it's meet on Sunday evening for a bit of a social and hit the Tyne on Monday as planned. Sunday - meet at Gateshead Travelodge. Travelodge Gateshead Hotel - Book Now Monday; Meet at Derwenthaugh Marina (NZ 203 633), Gateshead. Shuttle to Herd Beach (NZ 370 068) South Shields. Will need to be shuttled and on the water by HW 1013! Final details about pub/eatery to be confirmed on WhatsApp. River 1. Event co-ordinator: Eric Dewhurst 2. Trip Leader/s: Mike Sunderland 3. Trip type: River – sea kayak 4. Level of ability : Improver or better 5. Date: Sunday 29 Jan - Monday 30 Jan 2023 6. Venue: Sunday Travelodge Gateshead. Meet location / timings: Sunday 6.30/7.00pm at the Travelodge, Monday shuttle needs to be leaving Marina by around 8.30am, final timings to be confirmed. 8. Meet to share lifts: Always good to share lifts to save on fuel & emissions 9. Anything else: Further details to follow I am happy to lead the trip for 5 paddlers and more if I have another leader. Venue : Brougham Castle, Grid ref 534 291, turn off the westbound A66 we will park on the old road at 536 293 - suggest we meet on the bridge over the river about 100 metres past the old road. We can see the first (small) rapid before we get on. 7. Meet location / time : 10am 8. Meet to share lifts at: No formal lift share planned but please feel free to make your own arrangements 9.
