Hi All when a trip goes on the calendar shouldnt' it be live immediately ?-- it can always change later due to weather or covid ?
  11. BE COVID AWARE PEER trip Organiser : Simon Lerpiniere / 07811144461 Do you know your draw stroke from your stern rudder? Have you perfected your hanging draw and C stroke? We fall into the habit of using the stroke that works, without working out why those other strokes don't. We'll look at a variety of strokes on flat water with the help of some rubber ducks. We'll then take them to a short white water run and see how they feel. If you want to do some reading/watching in advance, check out Eric Jackson (EJ) on Youtube, or his book "Whitewater Paddling: Strokes and concepts"

  24. Anybody ( x2) in this bubble interested in swapping bubbles to the Ullswater bubble- (we live a mile from Brown Howe).
  25. Hi Linda, you can get as wet as you like really! We will also revisit tows and do some rescue scenarios so there should be plenty of practical elements to do where you don't need to be in the water too
  26. Hello Sue, Just been using my drysuit which now leaks! So not sure how much the session will be practical and actually in the water, but I am reluctant to be in cold water for very long if I cannot get it sorted. Repairing in time is unlikely as I can see the seams across the back are disintergating and presume this is where the water ingress occurs, as it is my core that gets wet. I will make enquiries about borrowing one but not hopeful. Thought I should put you on notice at this late stage.
  27. I will have my own independent shuttle arrangement. If this creates any issue with logistics for the rest of the group, thinking 3 in a car, please let me know and I will pull out. Cheers Sten
  28. Hi, Should anyone not be able to make it on the day, please do let me know and I'll fill that kayak! Cheers, John
